If you need help, do not be afraid to ask for it. There is someone who loves you, who will be there for you. (It may just even be yourself).
I spent Sunday night, all day yesterday and this morning in extreme pain, I caught some kind of stomach bug or something and my body reacted in a way that was very unfamiliar to me. I hurt everywhere, I was scared, I cried and wanted my mom.
So I asked for help, and Griffin spent most the day working from home. He went to the store, brewed copious amounts of ginger tea, bought various Eastern and Western methods to ease vomiting and body aches (I try to stay completely natural but Alka Seltzer is life in some situations), provided lots of love, smiles and jokes, peeled and sliced apples for me, and most importantly gave me his presence.
The nicest thing he did yesterday was simply showing up and being here (and to be honest, I didn't even have to ask, that is simply how he loves).
Think about how it feels when someone says, "I am here for you," or in our case, "I got you boo."
All you have to do is ask, or let someone know how you're feeling, and help *will* arrive.
Today I had to work a full ship day in the hot sun at Magen's, still dehydrated, exhausted and achey. They let me take off early and when I got to my car I found this note from my best babe Claire. I was so happy to be headed toward rest and she gave me such an added wave of love and relief.
Don't be afraid to ask for help. You are supported. You are loved.
Thank you to everyone who shows up, who asks for help, who provides it with love, and to my nugget Katie too for offering 20x to come over with health deliveries.
Sidebar: Listen to your body and DRINK MORE WATER (those were for me but they may apply to all).
