"You don't have to get so ahead of yourself all the time. You don't have to live within the confines of your action packed pathway towards your goal.
All we are ever looking for is happiness in the moment. In each passing moment. We just like to think our happiness lies in things we receive in the future. Recognition. Success. Money. A perfect relationship.
And we can't seem to grasp gratitude and fulfillment in the moment, because our minds are so future focused.
It's great to have a big picture. It's great to have inspired action, but you don't have to get so ahead of yourself.
You can take it one step at a time. One day at a time. Give yourself a break. Breathe. Laugh. Go splash around in the ocean or the lake or the river.
Enjoy the smell of the rain, and the utterly orgasmic definition of porch lights and the moon.
Sit with yourself, and this moment, and nothing else. Not the future, not your goals, just you and your breath and this moment.
One step at a time, like climbing a ladder. Let go of the overwhelm."
